Baseline | DCCM Proudly Celebrates Henry Mayo, RPLS, Retirement

We are proud to announce the retirement of Henry Mayo, RPLS, a native of College Station and a cornerstone of the land surveying profession in the Brazos Valley. With a career spanning more than four decades, Henry has made an enduring mark on both the public and private sectors, serving clients throughout the Bryan/College Station area with integrity, expertise, and heart. Henry began his surveying journey in the fall of 1982 while still a student at Texas A&M University, working with his family business, Joe Orr. In 2014, Joe Orr became part of Baseline Corporation, where Henry continued to lead with distinction. As a Registered Professional Land Surveyor, he has been a vital part of Baseline | DCCM, known for his deep knowledge of boundary and utility information and his stewardship of survey records dating back over 80 years. Throughout his career, Henry has managed and delivered a wide range of projects, including:– Topographic and utility surveys– Survey control and route surveys– GPS network surveys– Right-of-way and easement surveys– Platting and replatting– Construction staking His responsibilities have spanned from proposal preparation and record research to fieldwork planning, drafting oversight, and final quality assurance. Among his many accomplishments, Henry led the surveying efforts for the FM 158 (William J. Bryan Parkway) Improvements for the City of Bryan—a transformative project involving UAS lidar surveys, TxDOT-standard ROW parcels, and over 40 utility easement surveys. Other notable projects include Jones-Butler Road Phase II, the Wellborn Sanitary Sewer Survey, and the Rock Prairie Road West Widening. Henry’s legacy is one of mentorship, collaboration, and a lasting impact on the growth and development of our community. He is widely respected for his technical skill, unwavering professionalism, and genuine connection to the people and places of the Brazos Valley.
